I¹m a Senior Project Manager/Senior Ecologist (since they don¹t have any Senior Geographer positions available ;)  ) at SWCA Environmental Consultants here in Houston.  I¹ll be celebrating my 11th Anniversary with the company in July, and my 28th year in consulting in August.  My son Evan (25) received his Masters of Music from the University of North Texas in May 2013.  He and his wife Jessica recently moved to Austin where he will enroll in the Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) Program at UT Austin in August, pursuing a college music teaching career.  Daughter Amanda (22) is enrolled in the geography program at Texas State University San Marcos, minoring in geology and communications, and will graduate in May 2015.  She¹s presently in Germany taking a Regional Geography of Germany course.  She has taken a couple of courses from David Butler (KU PhD 1982) and enjoys his style and his enthusiasm about geomorphology.  She¹s beginning to look at graduate programs (KU is definitely on her short list), and I¹m noticing with her, the apple hasn¹t fallen very far from the tree.
