David has been with Nokia-HERE (Formerly NAVTEQ) for 20 years and during that time has extensive experience in the field of digital mapping. He has held many positions while at Nokia-HERE dealing with GIS, GPS.  He has participated in numerous data collection projects dealing with map update and maintenance. He has managed numerous GIS database update projects in the digital mapping operations division while utilizing geospatial technologies in the US, Europe and Mexico. He now is now a project specialist in Regional Map and Content on the Missouri Valley team. he coordinates and interfaces with the Garmin Cartography team in Olathe, KS.  Professional interests include GIS, cartography, geography, meteorology, telematics, global positioning systems, personal navigation devices and geospatial technologies. He is a member of NSGIC, Mid America GIS Consortium and Kansas Association of Mappers. David lives in Olathe, KS and in his spare time likes to travel, chase severe storms, read and study US history specifically dealing with the US Civil War and the Cold War, also likes photography, and to collect old oil company road maps.  Please feel free to contact him with any questions or career insights.
