Dave Trimbach awarded prestigious Oregon Fellowship

Thursday, March 6, 2014

Congratulations to Geography PhD candidate Dave Trimbach, who has just been awarded a prestigious Oregon Fellowship!

The Oregon Fellows Program pulls the brightest graduate students from across the country into the distinct natural, political and economic settings of Portland and Oregon. Students arrive from diverse academic disciplines, careers and life experiences, but all answering a call to public service. The 10-week fellowship places students with local levels of government, non-profits or private consultants providing dynamic challenges for the fellow and professional expectations from the sponsoring agency for the future leaders.

Dave is hoping to be placed with the City of Portland Bureau of Equity and Human Rights which would dovetail nicely with his dissertation work on minority identity in Narva, Estonia.
