Michael DeMers is on the geography faculty at New Mexico State University where he teaches GIS, landscape ecology, spatial analysis and cartography courses. He is the author of Fundamentals of Geographic Information Systems and GIS Modeling in Raster. Michael is married to Dolores (Doxon) who is a successful realtor in Las Cruces.
