Summary

Heather Putnam received her Ph.D. in 2013 and her M.A. in 2007 from the University of Kansas Department of Geography.  A human geographer by training, Heather's professional experience spans alternative coffee markets, rural food security in Latin America, participatory action research (PAR), and, more recently, the implementation of programs to foment technological innovation and entrepreneurship in her community of Santa Cruz, California. She is currently the Executive Director of the nonprofit organization Santa Cruz Works.
