Biography

In addition to pursuing a PhD in Geography, David is an Assistant Researcher for the Kansas Applied Remote Sensing Program at the Kansas Biological Survey and Center for Ecological Research. He works with remote sensing data, GIS, and modelling tools for environmental and ecological applications, including those in land-cover and land use-change analysis, hydrology, and agriculture. He has experience in Clean Water Act permitting and assessment with the Army Corps of Engineers, where he was first introduced to the utility and potential of remote sensing technology. David has also worked in design review for energy efficiency of large buildings.
