Biography —
Dr. Shun-Nan Wu received his Ph.D. in Meteorology and Physical Oceanography from the University of Miami and his B.S. from National Taiwan University. Dr. Wu grew up in Taiwan, which intrigued his interest in severe rainfall events. His research interests include understanding the dynamics of mesoscale convective systems and tropical cyclones, particularly their interactions with the larger-scale environment. He uses satellite observations and numerical modeling to explore these phenomena."
